Our absolute favourite club! Whose founders and history you will finally get to know… FOLKLOR is a collective from Lausanne founded in 2013. The five friends and associates who make it up – Thierry Namer, Fabien Gehrig, Ruben Lorenzo, Ramon Lorenzo & Gabriel Martella – are united by the same passion: to bring electronic music culture to life and share their know-how of event entertainment. The club quickly established itself as an essential part of the nightlife scene in Lausanne and beyond, thanks to a varied programme that judiciously combines, throughout the year and young emerging DJs from the regional, national and international scenes.

In 15 years, the Caprices Festival has developed at great speed and has become one of the 3 biggest festivals in Switzerland with a budget of nearly 10 Mio. With an eclectic programme mixing live music and DJs, the Festival team organises nearly 2,000 concerts and DJ sets in Switzerland. The number of internationally renowned bands is increasing with artists such as Live : Alice Cooper, Amy Macdonald, Björk, Cypress hill, Deep Purple, Erykah Badu, Gorillaz SS, Iggy Pop & The Stooges, Joss Stone, Keziah Jones, Lou Reed, Mika, Morcheeba, Nas, Portishead, Radiohead, Robert Plant ( Led Zepplin), Scorpions, Sean Paul, Stromae, Texas, The Roots, Tori Amos, Wyclef Jean, Zaz, Ziggy Marley, and many more DJS: Carl Cox, Martin Solveig, Paul Kalkbrenner, Sven Väth, Fatboy Slim, Ritchie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Jeff Mills, Ricardo Villalobos, Loco Dice, Chris Liebing, Deep Dish, Dixon, Solomun, Appolonia, Art Department, Ame, Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Mathew Jonson, Nina Kravitz, Tale Of Us, Dubfire, Ellen Alien, Luciano, and many more. In 2015, the festival attracted around 80,000 festival goers to the resort of Crans-Montana. However, Maxime Léonard decided to change the artistic focus of the event and concentrate on electronic music. The main reason for this choice was to find a concept that could be in line with the evolution of music and guarantee a certain durability to the festival. This shift was extremely well received by the festival’s audience, allowing it to be voted “Best International Festival” at the prestigious Ibiza Awards in 2018. At the same time, Maxime Léonard turned to artist management and became the agent of some internationally renowned artists, such as superstar DJ Luciano (Cadenza). This move opened the doors to the international event market.
